2024 Grand Marshal

Doug Sorrrell is proud to be a lifelong resident of Miamisburg.  Doug was a member of Miamisburg City Council and served as the parade coordinator for the very first Spring Fling celebration. Doug has played a pivotal leadership role in the decades-long revitalization of downtown Miamisburg, and he currently serves as president of the Historic Miamisburg Plaza Theatre. Doug is a sought-after benefit auctioneer, having raised millions for charitable causes ranging from the fight to cure cancer to the performing arts and much more. He is the author of “Beneath The Gavel: A Charity Auctioneer's Complete Guide To Fundraising.” Doug is also emeritus treasurer of the Shriners Cincinnati Burns Hospital Board of Governors and a former potentate of Antioch Shrine, an organization that has existed in downtown Dayton since 1898.
